Piranhas By: Delaney

When piranhas are babies they eat small crustaceans, fruit, plants, and seeds. When they grow to be about one and a half inch they eat the flesh of other animals. Sometimes they even eat their young. As they get older they begin to travel in groups of about twenty. These groups are called shoals. They hunt together in them. When piranhas attack they don't even kill their prey first, they just eat it alive. Adult piranhas eat almost anything. They eat other fish, animals that stop at the side of a river to get a drink, and even partsof people!
There're twenty species of piranhas found living in the Amazon River. The average piranha lives to be ten to twenty years old.

I hope you enjoyed my blog!!
