The Great Plains Indians

The tribes that were nomadic where the Blackfoot,Arapahoe,Cheyeene, Comanche,Crow,and Shoshone. These are only a few of the tribes that were nomadic. The nomadic tribes followed buffalo and occasionally engaged in agriculture such as growing tobbaco ro corn. Also they used every part of the buffalo and nevr wasted it here are some examples of what they used it for food,cups,decorations,crafting tools,knives,and clothing. They lived in teepees becaus they were easy to assemble and disassemble making it easier to follow the buffalo. When they obtained spanish horses they used them to help hunt for buffalo. In the winter the plains indians wore bison skins that the women in the tribes made.The women could tan it or leave it as rawhide. The indians believed in a great spirit that had control over everything. The earth was believed to be the mother of all spirits.They thought that visions in dreams came from spirits.
