Origin- All dogs, wolves, coyotes, and dingoes Descended from a single wolf like species. Dogs have been friends with humans since the early ages.
Types- There is many colors, shapes, and sizes of Dogs. Full grown dogs weigh from two pounds to more than 200 pounds. They are from six inches to three feet tall. They can have thick hair or no hair at all, they can have long legs or short legs, and they can be short or they can be tall. There are about 350 different dog breeds in the world.
Development- Puppies are born blind and deaf. Their ears and eyes open in about one to two weeks. They’ll try to walk, but an around two weeks. A three weeks there teeth start to come.
Life span- Dogs fully grown around two weeks but if they are well cared than they may live up to be 15 years old.
Smell- Dogs have stronger sense of smell than humans. They use their noses even more than their eyes and ears. They can recognize just about anything just by smelling!
Hearing- Dogs can hear better than people, they can hear thing far away and things that are high-pitched sounds, that people can not even recognize.
Sight- Dogs may be color-blind but some scientists think that they can see some colors. Other dogs can see black and white.
Taste- Dogs do not taste much. This because their sense of smell is so strong that it overpowers there taste. They also swallow their food too quickly to taste it well.
Touch- Dogs enjoy being petted more than almost any other animal. They can feel vibrations like an approaching train or an earthquake.
Navigation- Dogs can often find their way through crowded streets or across miles of wilderness with any instructions.
