Visual=2 feet-2 feet 3 inches at shoulders 3 feet 5 inches – 5 feet 5 inches length + 2 feet- 2 feet 5 inches tail
Weight= 110 – 180 pounds for males as for females a little bit less
Diet= Mountain lions eat big mammals like deer, and tiny mammals such as mice, squirrels, porcupines, raccoons, rabbits and beavers.
Population= 30,000 mountain lion are estimated in the western U.S. Although there is a species that has less than 100 called the Florida panther.
Where found= they can be found from Canada to Argentina. They can also be found from British Columbia and South Alberta to Texas and California.
Threats= they have been hunted and loss of habitat
Fun facts= Mountain lions can live up 8-10 years in the wild and 20 in captivity. Only 1 in 6 kittens survive. You have a better chance of being struck by lightning than dying because a mountain lion attack.
